Chelle Friendly, Open for business

The simple truth is that food makes me ridiculously happy. Finding something new or that I've always wanted to try makes my fingers twitch and and the stupidest grin appear on my face! So when 2 years ago I realized that I am dairy intolerant (my body can't process the casein) and then just over a year ago that I was also intolerant to gluten, well, saying that I was not a happy girl is putting it mildly. Bloody miserable is probably closer to it. That lasted a little while, and the miserable temperament was somewhat outweighed by not feeling like death warmed over all the time. Then, it occurred to me: I live in Montreal, where if you eat badly it's your own damn fault. Add to that the fact that I love to cook, and really, I should be able to figure out Someway to eat whatever I want (provided that it didn't have me curled up into a fetal ball with cramps or turn me into a paranoid nut). My friends actually came up with the term Chelle Friendly, which came to mean anything that I could eat, and since I've decided to focus on that instead of what I can't. I've come to realize that that encompasses an awful lot. So, here goes!
